A MAN who had more than 1,000 indecent images of children stored on his computer has been warned he could face jail.
Lee Groves was also found to be in possession of hundreds of pictures of extreme pornography when he was arrested two years ago.
The 52-year-old, of Upham Road, admitted nine counts of making and one of possessing indecent images of children and one of extreme pornography.
The court heard he had 1,368 pictures of children, accrued between 2006 and 2011, and 207 of adults engaging in sex acts with animals.
Stephen Leeke, defending, asked for the case to be put off so the probation service could compile a pre-sentence report on his client.
Judge Douglas Field, at Swindon Crown Court, adjourned the case to January 31 and released him on conditional bail .
He said: “The fact that you are being granted bail is not any indication of the final outcome of your case.”
