PEATMOOR Community Primary School encourages pupils not only to take, but also return a little something back to the environment and community.

The community, single form entry school which is nestled on the outskirts of West Swindon aims to be a special place that will always be a good memory for the children when they go through their walks in life.

The school’s mission statement – Enjoy Learning, Enjoy Life – is supported by their vision which challenges children to achieve their very best and to make the right choices which keep them healthy and safe.

Peatmoor children will enjoy learning for life, develop a sense of responsibility for themselves and others and become independent members of the wider community, both locally and globally.

They will achieve this by working together as a team, providing a creative and balanced curriculum which celebrates achievement, encouraging respect for others and self-esteem, helping children to recognise their place and responsibility in a culturally diverse, global society, promoting curiosity, enthusiasm and independence, and providing a stimulating, safe and caring environment.

The school is continuing to promote their eco agenda, and they pride themselves on being the only Wiltshire school to be awarded the Eco Schools Green Flag for a third time.

The school is proud of the many achievements and opportunities which the children have at Peatmoor.

The Friends of Peatmoor Community Primary School, a registered charity fundraising committee run by parents in the school and some of the staff, has raised approximately £15,000 since starting out in 2000. These funds have enabled the school to provide extra, valuable resources for the children including Robolab, interactive whiteboards, musical instruments, IT software, benches, outdoor play equipment and more.
