THE Wiltshire Business Awards dinner takes place today. More than 100 firms in the county are hoping to be named as the Wiltshire Business Of The Year.
Commercial law firm Thrings, a long-time partner of the event, is once again sponsoring the blue ribbon Overall Excellence award.
Thrings’ senior corporate partner John Davies said: “Since I started judging the awards in 2007, I’ve met many fantastic businesses in Wiltshire. This year the standard of entries is higher than ever.
“The judges have been struck by how many businesses tick the ‘all-rounders’ box; ones which have performed well , demonstrated financial security, acted professionally at all times and delivered exemplary service.
“We have also enjoyed learning about businesses which have not been afraid to innovate, those which look after their staff, and those which are prepared to immerse themselves in the community.”
The awards will be taking place at the Center Parcs at Warminster. There are eight categories: Apprenticeship Employer Of The Year; Business Person Of The Year; Customer And Staff Care; Environmental; Innovation And Growth; Leadership And Social Influence; Services To The Community; Small Business Of The Year and Overall Excellence or the Business Of The Year.
The winners will be online at swindonadvertiser.co.uk tonight.
