MEN, women and children in Wiltshire are being urged to join forces and Stand Up To Cancer.
Stand Up To Cancer is a joint fundraising campaign from Cancer Research UK and Channel 4.
It aims to raise money to fund vital research which will get new and better treatments to cancer patients faster.Every day, 83 people are diagnosed with cancer in the south west.
By joining Stand Up To Cancer, supporters will be uniting with doctors, nurses, scientists and celebrities to generate funds, raise awareness and bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
Stand Up To Cancer will culminate in a live TV fundraiser on October 17 as an army of millions tune in to Channel 4 for a live show hosted by Davina McCall, Alan Carr and Dr Christian Jessen.
The campaign took place for the first time in the UK in 2012 and raised more than £8m for research.
This year, there are many ways to get involved and help save lives.
Cancer Research UK is urging everyone in Wiltshire to stand up and do something to help raise money at work, school or at home.
A free fundraising kit is available to help spark creative ideas and provide support tools. Visit standuptocancer.org.uk
