HUNDREDS of people crowded the Supermarine Club to watch a football competition hosted by the Nepalese Association of Wiltshire.
Around 19 different teams took part in the competition, which takes place each year to bring the community together.
From 9.30am to 7.30pm visitors also enjoyed a variety of different stalls and activities on the day, and could enjoy a range of different foods and refreshments.
Jum Bahadur ‘JB’ Gurung, of the Nepalese Association of Wiltshire, said: “It went very well. A lot of people came along, not just from Swindon but from all over the country to take part.
“The reason why we hold the competition each year is to enable the community to come together and also so that people can meet new people so they can socialise and make new friends.
“It was also a chance for other people to come along and find out more about our culture. We had a number of different stalls selling different kinds of our food to try as well.
“It was a very successful event and everybody I spoke to said that they were really enjoying themselves.
“There were also some dignitaries that came along like Robert Buckland, the MP for South Swindon and Coun Nick Martin.”
