SWINDON: A 24-year-old man who is charged with rape will face trial next January.
Abdul Shinwari, who needs an interpreter for the Afghan language Pashto, is said to have carried out the sex attack on a woman on Sunday, April 27.
The defendant, of County Road, pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court.
Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Monday January 26 and released him on conditional bail until then.
