TEENAGER Matthew Howard from Swindon will face the ultimate fitness challenge when he takes on the Reebok Spartan Race to raise £500 for the Stroke Association.
The college student, 18, will take part in the 5km obstacle race on August 30 at Pippingford Park in Nutley, East Sussex.
Matthew was inspired to support the Stroke Association following his great grandmother’s experience. In December 2013, Peggy Eakins, 93, had a severe stroke. Staff at her care home recognised the symptoms as a medical emergency and Peggy was rushed to hospital. Sadly she never recovered.
