FAMILIES were invited to the Central Library for an afternoon of storytelling and craft activities yesterday.
The event was arranged to celebrate the Wyvern Theatre’s show What The Ladybird Heard, which is taking place next month.
Dozens of youngsters gathered to listen to the story being told by members of the cast before settling down for an hour of craft making activities.
The children were captivated for half an hour, performing actions as the story was told.
Keeping with the theme, the children then made model ladybirds using paper plates and other materials.
On Friday, a similar event will be held at the West Swindon Library with the story time starting at 10.30am and the craft session following on from 11am until midday. The event is free to attend.
Tickets for the Wyvern performances of the show, on September 13 and 14, can be purchased by visiting www. swindontheatres.co.uk
