NEW tearooms at the Richard Jefferies Museum on the edge of Coate Water Country Park are proving so successful that more people are needed to give a hand behind the scenes.
The museum, which is the birthplace of Swindon’s Victorian nature writer, has opened up a gate to the park and people are flocking to enjoy Sunday afternoon cream teas in the gardens or indoors.
The trust took over the museum from Swindon Council a few months ago but already visitor numbers are soaring.
