THE Rotary Club of Swindon has had a visit from the organisation’s top man in recognition of the amount of charitable work the group does in the town.
Nigel Henham, president of the Rotary Club Of Swindon, welcomed national president Peter King and Rotary district governor Martyn Harwood on their recent visit and said: “It is a tremendous privilege for our Rotary Club to be selected for a visit by the national president and recognises the good work of Rotary in our local community,” he said.
Peter King said: “The Rotary Club of Swindon has a heritage of service extending over nearly 90 years. This is something for which they should be justly proud and I wish President Nigel and the Rotary Club Of Swindon continued success for the future.”
Rotary members meet every week at the Kings in Old Town and organise a variety of fund-raising events to support charitable causes.
