YOUNGSTERS took a trip 2,000 years back in time when they took part in a Roman activity event at the Swindon Museum And Art Gallery, in Bath Road.
The museum has been displaying the collection of Roman brooches that were discovered in Wanborough in 1989.
And to tie in with that, a Really Roman creative workshop was held yesterday, with children learning crafts with a Roman theme.
Yesterday the young visitors had a go at making laurel leaf head-dresses or mosaic coasters.
A similar workshop is being held today, and children can choose to make either a Roman badge or a bookmark.
The sessions will be running between 10am and 2pm and cost £2 a child. All materials will be provided.
