Have a say on council tenants team
VOLUNTEERS are being sought for a Swindon Council group which reviews its housing service.
The tenant scrutiny panel provides an independent view of the council’s housing department’s performance, and wants to welcome more tenants to its numbers.
New panel members will be selected following an interview process. The body meets twice each month at the Civic Offices, with meeting being open to all tenants.
Coun Emma Faramarzi (Con, Priory Vale), who is the lead member for housing, said: “Tenants are in the best position to tell us what works well and where improvements need to be made, and that makes the work of the tenant scrutiny panel invaluable.”
