MINECRAFT fans were creative at the Museum of Computing at the weekend – taking part in a themed craft session.
Youngsters made their own paper versions of blocks and creepers and took home their works of art after the Minecraft Papercraft, for Minecraft fans. Minecraft is a game about breaking and placing blocks.
It was part of a number of activities for children during the summer holidays at the museum.
The activities are every Friday and most Saturdays and are not to be missed.
This week, on August 22 and 23, its is LEGO® day.
Children can go along and help to build a giant LEGO mosaic, play LEGO computer games and build games characters from LEGO bricks.
Next week, on August 29 and 30, the activity is entitled Codes and Ciphers Treasure Hunt when children can crack the six coded messages, find the hidden treasure in the museum and claim a prize.
All activities are free, but standard museum admission charges apply. Adults £2, children £1 concessions £1.50 and £5 for a family.
The museum is open Fridays 10am to 4pm and Saturdays 9.30am to 5pm.
