PARTY planners have pledged up to £10,000 to the 160 Appeal from funds raised at their festive casino at Lydiard Park.
Best Parties Ever has joined forces with the Adver’s campaign to secure £160,000 for Prospect Hospice by offering to donate the money raised at its Marrakech-themed Christmas Party’s Black Jack and Roulette tables this December.
As well as the casino games, it will give £2 out of each ticket sold from now until December to the Wroughton charity.
Adver editor Gary Lawrence said: “We are delighted to have Best Parties Ever on board. With their help we know we can reach our £160,000 target by the end of December. Their generous offer will give us a welcome boost to the finish line.
“We rely on businesses like this one as well as local groups and kind individuals to support our appeal. It has been wonderful to see so many firms and people from far and wide backing the 160 Appeal and raising valuable funds for terminally-ill people in Swindon. We could not have asked for more.”
Moonlight in Marrakech will be held at Lydiard Park between December 4 and 20. Scented oil lamps and Arabian acrobats will light the way as guests cross a wooden bridge amongst tranquil fountains and ornate bronze sculptures to the vibrant ‘city of Marrakech’ with its tantalizing bazaar.
A palm-lined dining area will provide an alfresco ambience beneath a twinkling starlit ceiling, while a hypnotic harem of aerial performers tumble from above.
After a four-course dinner, an intimately cushioned Kasbah will offer guests a chance to relax while enjoying a refreshing Casablanca beer. They will also get a chance to ride the unique camel rodeo, jump on Best Parties Ever’s famous dodgems or simply dance the night away.
Holly Dodson, group sales director at Best Parties Ever, said: “People would pay £5 in return for ten chips to gamble with and we decided to give all the proceeds from our casino tables to Prospect. And out of all new direct bookings from now until Christmas we will donate £2 per person to Prospect.
“We are hoping to raise £10,000. We really wanted to support the appeal. We always want to work with local charities that are not supported by the Government. And because it’s local we find people are more inclined to donate their money because they’ve experienced the help, or know people who have, of that charity.”
