NORTH SWINDON: Officers patrolling North Swindon caught a disqualified driver yesterday after they saw him drive his car through a red light in Thamesdown Drive.
Checks showed the vehicle was uninsured, and when the motorist was stopped he gave a false name, then admitted he was a disqualified driver. When his car was searched a substance believed to be heroin was found.
The 29-year-old local man was arrested and has since been charged with driving while disqualified, driving without insurance and possession of a controlled drug. He will appear before magistrates on September 10.
