TOWN CENTRE: The Brunel Centre is to commemorate the centenary of the Great War with Heroes, a play set in a French military retirement home. The September 11 event will begin at 6.30pm in the shopping centre. The comedy, featuring professional actors, tells the story of three First World War veterans who plot their escape from the boredom of the routines of living in a care home.
The evening starts with supper and a glass of wine at Boswells. The performance commences at 7.15pm and is expected to last for two hours. Tickets cost £12 and are available from The Centre Management Suite, first floor of Brunel Plaza, or from Boswells café, ground floor Brunel Arcade.
