COMMUTERS faced long delays on the A419 yesterday following a number of incidents during the morning rush hour period.
At around 7.30am, emergency services were called to attend a four-vehicle crash which blocked the road, causing delays for commuters.
Two male drivers were taken to the Great Western Hospital with minor injuries after the crash which occurred at the White Hart roundabout.
The incident involved two white vans, a Peugeot 206 and a silver Vauxhall Corsa.
One southbound lane of the key road was closed for several hours while the vehicles were recovered.
As a result there were long tailbacks for much of the morning, with the situation made worse when a lorry broke down further down the A419, towards Dorcan.
Police were once again forced to close one southbound lane for a number of hours while the lorry was repaired.
