RESIDENTS at an Old Town care home marked Victory in Europe (VE) Day in style with a tea dance.
Staff and residents at the Princess Lodge Care Home in Curie Avenue welcomed performances from the Phoenix Players, as well as a packed schedule of singing, dancing and activities throughout the afternoon on May 8.
A spokesman from the care home said: "The Phoenix Player were excellent.
"We had scotch eggs ,sausage rolls, spam sandwiches, red white and blue cup cakes, Battenberg cake and jelly of course.
"The Musical Companions - led by John Davies, with the singers being Jackie Theobald, Bob Maskell and Graham Haines - are the musical ones.
"The poems were by Stephanie Trinci and myself."
