A TEENAGER who was caught carrying a razor blade in Victoria Road has had a community order imposed.

Kayleigh Nicholls, 19, of Eastcott Hill, committed the offence while already under a community order for making threats to kill Swindon Borough Council workers.

Nicholls has had a new order imposed with a rehabilitation activity requirement, and was ordered to pay a criminal courts charge of £180 with a victim surcharge of £80.

A man accused of being involved in the trade in hard drugs is to face trial by judge and jury.

Matthew Horton pleaded not guilty to possessing cocaine with intent to supply when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court.

The 35-year-old, of Galsworthy Close, Liden, is said to have had about £450 worth of cocaine for supply when he was arrested on Saturday, November 29. Judge Peter Blair QC adjourned the case to Tuesday, August 25, and released Horton on bail.

A woman who assaulted two police officers while drunk in Wood Street last month has been made to pay compensation of £50 to each officer.

Nicola Wilson, 34, of Rosebery Street, was fined a total of £320, with a victim surcharge of £20 and criminal courts charge of £150.

A 51-year-old man accused of being in possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply in Rodbourne has been sent for trial at Swindon Crown Court. Paul White, of Rose Street, is alleged to have had the Class A drugs on January 30. He will return to court on June 5.

A man will stand trial by jury accused of setting up a cannabis factory and by-passing the electricity at a property in Dryden Street in January. Jamie Gladdy, 33, is also charged with having £1,540 in cash that was the proceeds of crime. He will return to Swindon Crown Court on June 12.

A woman accused of perverting the course of justice has been sent for trial at Swindon Crown Court. Amy Fish, 19, of the Manchester Guest House, is said to have sent Facebook messages to a victim of crime asking them to drop the charges. Fish will appear at Swindon Crown Court on June 5 to answer the charge.

A man who admitted driving without due care and attention, and failing to stop when required by the police, has had his licence endorsed. Matthew Deneka, 25, of Farmhouse Drive, admitted driving on Mead Way without due care and attention on September 25 last year, and has been fined £35 with a £20 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
