LIVE music and a fun-filled family day of music and entertainment is on the card’s for a fundraising day at the Swiss Chalet on Sunday.

The Gorse Hill event aims to raise money for the Prospect Hospice, and will feature an extensive line up of bands and acoustic acts, playing on two stages throughout the day from noon.

There will also be a raffle, auction, children's entertainment, a barbecue and various stalls.

Kevin Harrington, who helped to organise the event, said: “We’re hoping to raise £5,000 for Prospect Hospice.

"We could not think of a more worthwhile cause, as the charity is such a fundamental part of Swindon, and over the years has supported lots of people and their families.”

Acts already lined up for the day include Prefab Four, Broken Image, Vice Versa, Operation 77, Zing, Full On, Midlife Crisis, Cover Junkies, the Lawless, Nick and Dom Felix, Paul Felix, Hippy Club, Alfie Mahone, Mike York, Craig Hutchesson, Emmy Fearon and Paul Griffin.

The raffle and auction prizes include a Liverpool FC shirt signed by the Liverpool squad, gas barbecue, a Fiorelli handbag, a four-ball voucher for the Wiltshire Golf Club, two tickets for the Wyvern Theatre or Arts Centre, two tickets for First Great Western Trains and many more.
