A MAN'S body has been found in a country park by a member of the public.
Officers were alerted to the discovery at Taw Hill Lakes, near Mouldon Park, yesterday.
"The circumstances of the death do not appear suspicious," a police spokesman said.
"Formal identification has not yet been completed and officers are in the process of locating next of kin."
It is believed the body is that of missing Mark McCarron, 45, of Haydon Wick.
The father-of-two was last seen three weeks ago on October 10 at Great Western Hospital.
Police, his family and wife Beckie had appealed for help finding him and raised fears over his welfare.
