THE Cast of Stage Struck look back to the future this Christmas with a festive concert in traditional style, including a Vera Bennett Christmas melody for the finale.
Vera ran Stage Struck for many years, along with David Wainwright who choreographed the shows. One of the stalwarts of that time, Ken Jell, will be recalling his steps in this year’s concert with the Blue Bird Bop.
Michelle MacCay, co-director of TCOSS with Grace Matthews, said: “It was part of the tradition, and something we all looked forward to. We’d perform at numerous venues around the town – including spending Christmas Day entertaining the residents at a local hotel.”
The Sparkle Jolly Twinkle Jingley Christmas Concert is on December 10 from 7pm at the Immanuel Church, Upham Road, Swindon.
Tickets are £10 including a festive drink and mince pie from 07596 151051. Doors open from 6pm for a Christmas fayre before the concert.
