Special guest Professor Cary Cooper is heading for Swindon to speak at a special conference.
The Swindon Marriott is hosting the Swindon Mindful Employer Network 2017 Conference on Monday 9th October with top international speakers.
Professor Sir Cary Cooper is 50th Anniversary Professor of Organizational Psychology and Health at Manchester Business School, University of Manchester.
He is currently President of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Cary also officially launched the Swindon Mindful Employer Network at the Swindon Marriott in March 2009 and is looking forward to returning to the town.
Melanie Richens of the UK College of Personal Development, who is volunteer Chair of the network, said: “Cary is an amazing speaker and highly influential when it comes to advising government and institutions on mental health issues. We are so pleased to welcome him back after he launched this initiative over 8 years ago. There is so much we can learn from his enormous knowledge and wisdom on the subject. It is also wonderful to be back at the Swindon Marriott and we are grateful to the management and staff for their generous support.”
Cary says of his appearance at the conference: “I am really pleased to be asked back to the Swindon Mindful Employer Network and looking forward to discovering how things have progressed since my last visit in 2009. I know the network has gone from strength to strength and look forward to meeting the many employers who are engaged with the popular organization. Mental health has become a critical issue for all businesses in all sectors and it is no surprise that networks such as these are now attracting a great deal of attention.”
Paulina Zapala, who is Senior Events Manager of the Swindon Marriott, said: “We are really looking forward to having the network back at the Swindon Marriott. There is a long association between the us since the network held its official launch at the hotel in 2009. It’s great to see familiar faces return and the speaker line-up is once again excellent. I would encourage local business people to book a place in the very near future.”
Places for this event are available for representatives of employers in the Swindon and surrounding area only. Booking is essential.
