A 20-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested over a stabbing at the Esso garage in Fleming Way.

Police were called to the garage near the Magic Roundabout yesterday morning just before 10.30am to reports of a serious assault.

As a result, a man sustained head, back and neck injuries.

It has now been confirmed by police that he was in fact stabbed.

Officers cordoned off the area while an investigation was carried out and a 20-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

He remains in police custody at this time.
