SWINDON'S Wood Street was without water for about an hour today.
Manni Madhani, director of Bardolino's, said: "I've got 100 people walking in for lunch and I've got no water.
"I've just told customers [many in for Christmas lunches] we will do our best to serve their meals."
Thames Water engineers said they shut a valve to investigate a leak in the SN1 postcode area.
"Your water is now restored. Sorry for any inconvenience caused," the company tweeted at about 1.25pm.
We're aware that some customers in the #SN1 area have no water/low pressure. We're looking into this now and we'll update you as soon as we have more info
