Swindon and District Samaritans will host an information event, so those interested can find out more about volunteering with Swindon Samaritans.
It will take place between 7pm and 9pm at 6 Curtis Street, in the town centre, on Tuesday, 13 March.
The charity are looking for dependable people who are willing to donate some of their valuable time to help out with their services.
They have a wide range of volunteering roles available, including as listening volunteers.
As one Samaritans caller said: "The fact that somebody understood, did not criticise, did not palm me off, did not judge or advise... gave me back my confidence in me as a person."
To find out more, people interested in volunteering can go along to the event, and discuss the opportunities with current volunteers in person.
