Dreadzone will be stopping off at The Vic, in Swindon’s Old Town tomorrow, playing a mix of old favourites and songs from their new album, Dread Times, that stormed into the top 40 of the UK album chart. The band are known for their dub, reggae, electronica and hip-hop music. They got together in 1993, and were founded by drummer Greg Roberts. The musicians were supported by John Peel on BBC Radio 1 who named their album Second Light as one of his favourite albums of all time. They were signed to Virgin Records by this time and in 1996 scooped their only top 20 hit in the UK singles chart with Little Britain. Over the years Dreadzone continued to record and tour and also set up their own recording studio under the label Dubwiser Records. Tickets to the Swindon gig are £17.50 from 01793 535713, https://thevicswindon.com/ or www.dreadzone.com/live-dates/
