A SPORTS enthusiast who started off with a dream of having his own nutrition business is celebrating 10 years in the trade by opening a second shop.
Even as a youngster Romeo Fiorelli was keen to know how his body could be developed to be stronger and healthier.
“I had to learn from mistakes when doing my own nutrition to make sense of how it works,” he said.
For the past decade he has been advising would-be athletes as the owner of Sports Nutrition Equipment Suppliers, based in Havelock Street in the town centre.
But early next month, to celebrate the landmark anniversary, he will be opening a new store in Royal Wootton Bassett.
“All I knew was that I had a passion for doing this,” said Romeo.
“I’m always studying and making sure that we are progressing in this area of knowledge.
“If you think you know it all then you have already failed.”
Over the years the firm’s customers have included professional footballers and boxer, all seeking advice on diet and supplements.
It is more than just visiting the store and picking out supplements, said Romeo.
He explained his team would sit down with customers and discuss what was right for them and give free expert advice that focused on dietary, plans training and more.
“Over the past 10 years we have learnt the market inside and out to be able to provide a personal service to our customers.
“Online can be deceiving and not relevant to progress in the best way possible, because everyone is built differently,” said Romeo.
SNES also works with local gyms around Swindon and all staff come from a sports background.
They use the free samples they get sent from branded companies to trial on regular customers who use the product in the right way.
They can then analyse the results to see if it will help others in their efforts to become fitter and stronger.
