GWH has applauded the "incredible" staff who battled the snow to get to work today.
As the snow continued to fall on Friday morning the hospital asked patients only to travel if it was safe to do so.
A spokesperson for GWH said: "We have plans in place to ensure we can maintain patient services during severe weather conditions and are working hard to ensure there is minimal disruption.
"If you have an appointment scheduled for today, and you are able to travel in safely, please attend as normal unless you are contacted.
"A huge thank you to all of our incredible staff, many of whom have walked miles in the snow to get to the hospital or visit patients in their homes."
Patients who can't make it in have been asked to call the number on the appointment letter to cancel.
