A PUBLIC consultation has opened over the proposal to close part of a road on the Wichelstowe development.
Swindon Borough Council is asking for views on the proposal to close the northern section of Mill Lane to cars.
The requirement to close the section of road was outlined in the original 2005 plans.
It is considered to be unsuitable for the expected amount of traffic from the massive development and provide safe alternative routes for pedestrians and cyclists.
Objections or representations to the proposed order should be made by completing the consultation form which can be found at www.swindon.gov.uk/trafficregulationorders by no later than 31 May 2019.
Any objection or representation received will form part of a public record will be publicly available.
