A WILTSHIRE restaurant has become one of only 23 in the country with two Michelin stars.
At a ceremony last night, The Dining Room at Whatley Manor, near Malmesbury, was elevated from one star to its new status.
It's one of only four to be boosted up to two stars putting it in the elite of restaurants in the UK.
On Twitter yesterday, the restaurant said: "We are absolutely delighted to announce that The Dining Room at Whatley Manor has been awarded two Michelin stars."
The restaurant, whose head chef is Niall Keating, serves high end food and matching wines, with menus at £90 and £120.
According to its website: "The Dining Room holds two Michelin stars and Niall’s menus showcase his skills matched to seasonal produce, we would describe his food as Modern British, but also very influenced by his world wide travels.
"In 2018 Niall was awarded Michelin’s European Young Chef of the Year and in October 2019 he gained his second Michelin star."
