KFC and Starbucks look set to open in Chiseldon.
EG Group, which runs the Esso filling station on the A346 Marlborough Road has applied for permission to build a drive-thru restaurant and drive-thru coffee shop on land immediately next to the garage.
A spokesman for the company said it never comments on which tenants might take a unit before an application was approved.

But a spokesman added that the company’s website might give a clue to the food and drink companies it dealt with.
The website Eurogarages.com shows the company has deals with Greggs, Subway and KFC. Greggs and Subway already have space in the garage – and possibly not best suited to a drive-thru. The only coffee shop company it has a deal with is Starbucks.
The two drive-thrus could create 70 jobs – but the prospect of the restaurant and coffee shop creating more traffic on a busy road and more litter is worrying some villagers.
