Vehicle fire closes lane on M4 eastbound
A VEHICLE fire has closed a lane on the M4 eastbound between Junctions 18 and 17.
The stretch of motorway between Bath and Chippenham should be open as normal by 12.45pm.
Motorists travelling in that direction should expect delays.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "Two appliances from Chippenham and two appliances from Avon FRS are currently attending to a van fire on the M4 between Junctions 18 and 17 on the eastbound carriageway.
"Crews used two breathing apparatus and two high pressure hose reels. Lane three is now open."
