The A417 is currently closed due to emergency repairs.
A closure is in place on the northbound carriageway between A429 Burford Road (Cirencester) and A436 (Air Balloon Roundabout, Birdlip).
Highways England expected the road to be re-opened around 4pm, which means it will be closed for most of the afternoon.
There is queuing traffic to the A419 south of Cirencester.
The closure is also affecting traffic around Siddington and Cirencester.
