Cineworld could improve its experience for film buffs at Shaw Ridge. 

Following speculation on social media, the Advertiser contacted the cinema giant to ask if it had any plans to bring a 4DX screen to the out-of-town venue. 

A spokesman for the chain said: "Cineworld is always looking at opportunities to add to the moviegoing experience for our customers in all of our cinemas across the UK. 

"With stimulating effects like wind, water, motion, scent, lighting and fog, 4DX is the most exhilarating way to enjoy the latest blockbusters. 

"Stay tuned for upcoming announcements."

Currently, the closest 4DX screen is located at the Cineworld in Cheltenham.
