AN ACCOUNTANCY company based in Swindon has seen off competition from tens of thousands of other businesses around the country to be shortlisted for a major industry award.
The team at MHA Monahans is celebrating after being recognised as one of the top performers in the accountancy sector by the IRIS Customer Awards.
The firm has been picked as one of the few finalists who could win the Large Practice of the Year category. This is an honour that the company already won back in 2018 during the inaugural awards ceremony and its bosses hope that history will repeat itself this time around.
Managing partner Simon Tombs said: “I’m honoured that MHA Monahans has been recognised once again in these prestigious awards.
“I can only applaud the efforts of all the staff who work so hard day in, day out to uphold our high standard, and to deliver a service and commitment to clients that is unsurpassed.”
The industry awards focus on celebrating and showcasing excellence in UK accountancy firms. They are held every two years.
IRIS Software Group organises the awards to recognise excellence amongst the more than 80,000 businesses and organisations which use its products.
The large number of entries have been reviewed by a panel of industry expert judges who whittled them down to a shortlist of just three finalists for each of 17 award categories.
The categories span the sectors of accountancy, human resources, payroll and education.
To celebrate their shortlisting, staff at MHA Monahans enjoyed attending a black-tie gala dinner in Birmingham’s International Convention Centre earlier this month.
Plus, Leanne Anderson, a senior associate at its Swindon branch, won a prize for her results in the ACA advanced level paper in November.
IRIS CEO Elona Mortimer-Zhika said: “We’ve seen an exceptionally high standard of entries again this year, demonstrating once more the achievements of our customers in their respective specialist sectors and the contribution they make to communities.”
