GOOGLE has bestowed a company with headquarters in Swindon with a special award.

Appsbroker announced that it has received the 2019 Google Cloud Specialization Partner of the Year Award for application development.

The company was recognised for its outstanding achievements through the use of the online platform, which it uses to help joint customers solve complex business challenges through custom-made application development.

This award builds on the business' application development specialization for the online giant's tech platform which it achieved in early 2019.

CEO and founder Mike Conner set up the company 13 years ago.

He said: “We’re delighted and honoured to receive this award and I’m extremely proud of the whole team.

"We’ve worked exclusively with Google Cloud for 12 years, delivering many transformational projects and winning happy customers.

"Partnering with them gives the Appsbroker team the opportunity to work at pace to deliver extraordinary outcomes to our mutual customers.”

The firm builds Google Cloud-native applications for global customers in financial services, insurance, retail, manufacturing, media and government who all use the collection of cloud computing services.

The company also has a data and analytics specialisation for these services which it says enable its customers to "think bigger and enjoy the full benefits of the platform".

Vice president of worldwide channel sales at Google Cloud Carolee Gearhart said: “We’re proud to recognize Appsbroker’s continued dedication to customers.

"This company has continually proven its strong expertise in helping customers across a wide range of industries with application development, and we look forward to continuing to work together in the future.”

The company took home two Wiltshire Business Awards in 2019 - Medium-Sized Business of the Year and Customer and Staff Care. It turned-over £23m in 2018 and builds IT applications for big business, such as helping banks transfer huge amounts of customer information into new databases.
