A man accused of murdering will appear before Croydon Crown Court in June.
Michael Hyde, 29, formerly of Mistletoe Court, Okus, has been jointly charged with his brother, Jerome, of killing father-of-two Leshawn Williams.
The 29-year-old died after he was stabbed in Hanameel Street, east London, on December 21 last year. It was the 140th murder in the capital in 2019.
One cousin described Mr Williams as a decent family man, telling the Evening Standard: “The family are devastated. He was a good guy who looked after his family. We just can’t believe he has gone.”
Swindon man Michael Hyde’s case was due to be heard before the Old Bailey but transferred to Croydon Crown Court.
He has been remanded in custody to appear before the south London court on June 5 via video link for a case management hearing. No pleas have been entered.
