A MARTIAL arts company is breaking a sweat – and records – with its virtual classes.
Since lockdown was announced almost two months ago Leadership Martial Arts decided to keep the people of Swindon fit by doing its classes live on Facebook.
Its owner has been overwhelmed by the number of people getting involved, with 700 turning up last time.
John Danby told the Adver: “Martial arts is an enormous family this was our way of saying thanks to people sticking with us during this.
“It’s so important to keep moving during this time as well, for both the brain and heart. You can’t just watch TV all day, you will go stir crazy.”
This time he hopes to attract 1,000 people to set a world record of largest martial arts class live online.
It will be kicking off at 6.30pm today on the Leadership Martial Arts Facebook page.
