Bird-lover Adina Burton is searching for her Parrot Mango who has been missing for four days in Liden.

Adina, 24, has had Mango for five years before the bird flew out of her front door after being spooked by her dogs.

Adina said: "He's a ringneck parrot, that's what we got told from Paradise Pets.

"He's a green little thing with a bright orange beak and he's got a black ring around his neck.

"We've had him for about five years but we had a delivery come to the door and our dogs started barking so he must have got spooked and he just flew straight over my head and out the door."

Adina lives in Austen Crescent in Liden, close to the Royal Mail sorting centre and the bird could still be in the area.

Adina added: "He’s going to be weak, as he hasn’t had food or water for four days."
