The household waste and recycling centre in Cheney Manor Industrial Estate is extending its opening hours.
But householders wanting to visit will still have to book a slot.
The new opening time is 8am to 4.30pm every day except Wednesday.
A spokesman for Swindon Borough Council said: “Since the HWRC first reopened at the end of May, we have taken over 18,000 bookings and have gradually extended the opening times and increased the number of booking slots per day.
“We hope that the further changes we have announced today will allow us to welcome more residents on site soon.”
To control the numbers of visitors the council is still operating a strict bookings only policy. To book a slot householders must have an address in Swindon, which they need to use to book, and must give the registration of the car they want to arrive in.
People should arrive 30 minutes before their allotted time so they can be checked in.
If a householder misses their allocated time they will have to book a new one, and only two booking per calendar month are allowed per household
Bookings may be made online at www.swindon.gov.uk/hwrc.
