HEAVY rain is expected to bring some flooding and disrupt travel in Wiltshire over the weekend.
The Met Office issued an amber-level weather warning for most of the county which lasts from 12pm on Saturday to 6am on Sunday.
A spokesman said: "Homes and businesses are likely to be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.
"Fast flowing or deep floodwater is likely, causing danger to life. Delays and some cancellations to train and bus services are likely.
"Spray and flooding probably leading to difficult driving conditions and some road closures. A good chance of some communities being cut off by flooded roads."
The warning downgrades to a yellow level just before it reaches Marlborough and Swindon but the rain in these areas is still forecast to be strong enough to create hazardous driving conditions.
The wet weekend will see temperatures of between 13 and eight degrees Celsius.
