Despite the challenges of this year a parish council has continued it's efforts to spread festive cheer and goodwill to those in need across their patch.
Haydon Wick Parish Council delivered 160 parcels last week as part of its Christmas Parcel Scheme.
The community project, which helps those within the Parish who live alone and are aged over 70, distributed festive food and treats to help recipients enjoy the season.
Parish council chairman Linda Brown said: “Despite this being a difficult year for many, we have been overwhelmed at the generosity and record levels of donations we have received towards this community project.
"As a Parish, we are very proud that for over 30 years we have continued to support our residents in this way.”
The Council thanked all volunteers and community groups that helped with this year's scheme, and particularly Morrisons, ASDA, Virgin Media, Bookers, N&B Foods and the Redeemed Christian Church of God for their donations.
