A SHOCKED mum warned motorists to drive slowly and safely after a car skidded past her children along an icy Cheney Manor road.
Emma Kay captured on camera the moment a driver lost control of his car which then swivelled round into the other lane and hit the pavement before stopping on the grass above the kerb.
A bit of the bumper came off in the collision on Vicarage Road earlier today.
Emma's young children were playing in the front garden while this happened and were upset by what they saw.
She is urging drivers to slow down and be careful when coming round the bend.
Emma added: "I was really angry as he hit the pavement, it could have been so much worse if a dogwalker was there.
"I shouted but he ignored me.
"My children were both frightened, especially my little girl, but my little boy was very concerned for the driver, bless him, and hopes he wasn't too frightened.
"Don't approach it at speed, drive with caution, only too often the traffic is backed up and they come round so quickly and hit the brakes.
"Its such a fast, dangerous road but it shouldn't be."
This is not the first time there has been an issue on the road.
Emma added: "I had a road traffic accident when they were babies. I was pulling into my driveway and a man came round the bend at speed and wrote my car off as he mounted the pavement and took my nearside out."
