PACKETS of cannabis-laced sweets were destined for addresses in Chiseldon and Royal Wootton Bassett, police have confirmed.
A parcel containing the illicit confectionery was intercepted at the Royal Mail sorting office in Wootton Bassett on Monday.
Wiltshire Police have now said the packets of Haribo-like gummy sweets were suspected of having been laced with cannabis.
The packets were destined for homes in Chiseldon and Royal Wootton Bassett. A spokesman for the force said: “Our enquiries continue but this is currently being treated as an isolated incident and anyone with information is asked to call us on 101.”
