Charities joined forces to host virtual events for Dementia Action Week this week.
It was organised by Swindon Dementia Action Alliance, which aims to make the town more dementia friendly.
The sessions were held by Alzheimer's Society Swindon, Swindon Carers Centre, Home Instead Swindon, Highworth Forget-me-not Cafe and Great Western Hospital, among others.
Talks were on subjects like helping families face dementia, providing dementia friendly care and power of attorney.
There were also interactive singing and music for the mind sessions, and a carers support group social.
One of the organisers was community engagement officer at Home Instead Swindon, Rachel Jannaway.
Rachel says: "We want to help educate people and improve the lives of those affected by dementia.
"There is so much help available that so few know about.”
All talks are now on the Swindon Dementia Friendly Community YouTube channel.
Send us your fundraisers!
If you or someone you know is doing a great fundraiser, holding an event or has been awarded for their efforts, we'd love to celebrate it.
