A SCARECROW trail launched in lockdown to keep people entertained is becoming an annual event after families wanted it to continue.
After successfully running in May last year and again for Halloween, the Redhouse and Oakhurst trail is back for a third time with a Disney/Pixar-theme.
Organiser Charlotte King said: “People can sign up to make their scarecrow to make sure there are not any duplications. I can also add them to the map so people can tick them off as they go around. It will hopefully be a way to get the kids out.”
The free event will run from August 1-31 and people can sign up via the Facebook group.
Charlotte added: “My kids Ruby and Max love it because it’s Disney-themed which is always popular as people recognise the characters.
“My family and I love the trails that are run all over Swindon and appreciate the effort it takes to arrange these so it’s been fab to be able to arrange one in our area.”
“I would like to thank the people involved for giving up their own time and we appreciate the people happy to get involved. We are open to new people to join too.”
