The borough council has chosen the site for its new children’s play area at Coate Water.

The site is in easy reach of the car parks and walking paths, as well as being easy for parents to keep an eye on children form the path, and it’s close to trees for shade.

It also says it’s large enough for a range of equipment, and wants to know what people want.

The council’s document divides equipment into eight categories, including jumping and climbing, mounds and slides, swings, spinners and sound and vision and imaginative play but also quieter activities like sit and talk and playing with nature.

The consultation is open now and runs until September 3.
