A FURTHER 120 coronavirus cases were confirmed in Swindon within 24 hours.
There have been 772 positive Covid-19 tests recorded around the borough within the last week, which is 75 (8.9 per cent) fewer than the week before.
Swindon's infection rate as of August 18 is 359.4 cases per 100,000 population.
On Sunday, nine people in Swindon received their first vaccine dose and 317 people received their second dose.
The government has said a further 40 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Monday, bringing the UK total to 131,680.
Separate figures published by the Office for National Statistics show there have been 156,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
As of 9am on Monday, there had been a further 31,914 lab-confirmed Covid-19 cases in the UK.
Government data up to August 22 shows that of the 89,501,494 Covid jabs given in the UK, 47,690,741 were first doses, a rise of 40,345 on the previous day.
Some 41,810,753 were second doses, an increase of 116,352.
