More than a million lights and lasers will illuminate Stourhead this Christmas for its third year.

Tickets for the Christmas light trail at the National Trust site went live back in June due to high demand.

From 26 November, visitors will take a one-mile trip through the famous landscape gardens and witness tunnels of light, lakeside reflections and illuminated trees choreographed to classic Christmas tunes.

Highlights this year include a tree which has neon lights woven into its branches and 'Voyage', a collection of colourful boats floating on the water created by Aether and Hemera.

Festive treats like hot chocolate and spiced winter warmer will be on offer from independent street vendors, and Father Christmas is scheduled to make an appearance.

Stourhead, which first opened in the 1740s, features a lake, classical temples, grottoes, and rare trees in the celebrated garden.

Christmas at Stourhead will open for selected dates from 26 November until 2 January.

Tickets cost £20 for adults and £14 for children, but carers and children aged two and under two go free.

The National Trust is partnering with Sony Music to put on this event and the trail is created by Culture Creative.
